  Number tricks

First choose a number from 1to 9 write it down .Then multiply it by 2 and add 5. After multiply this number by  50 . After that add the number  of  years there have been in this century so far. Then add 1.750. Finally 8 subtract the year you were born. The final answer has three digits. The first digits is the number you first thought of, and the second two digits are your age on your birthday this year.

Anecdotes

The optimist sees the glass half full.
The pessimist sees the glass half empty.
The chemist see the glass completely full, half in the liquid state and half in the vapor state.
